Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams is saying goodbye to Victoria, after spending time in B.C.’s capital filming a new TV series.

In his first ever Threads post on Wednesday, Williams said farewell to the City of Gardens, after wrapping his part filming new mystery/thriller show Yaga for Canadian streaming service Crave.

“That’s it for me on Yaga Victoria: Old people + Dead asf + Nature = Feels like home/heart gets full ❤️” he wrote.

There is a three season series on Netflix called Startup which isn’t half bad. What I really liked was at the end of S3E10 the closing song “When You’re Gone” was by Victoria’s Jon and Roy. These guys are moving up in the world. Thanks to Matt for turning me on to them.

Oh yah they are great. They just played Nanaimo and are in London tonight. One of them is a high school teacher so they are playing across Europe during spring break. They’ve been playing together more than 20 years.

New EP is out, good stuff- very westcoast vibe. Jon is half of Ocie Elliott, with his partner and salt spring’s own Sierra Lundy.

They are so interwoven into everyday life, these networks, that most people have no clue just how powerful a broadcaster like CBS is, given its ownership structure. These aren’t just siloed TV stations trying to make a buck.

The bigger threat is whether or not the Internet will be allowed to continue as it is currently known, or whether corporate news and media sources that provide Internet access will select who you get to see and who you have to pay them to see.

A Vancouver Island-based actress known for her roles in popular TV series like Supernatural and iZombie has died.

Carrie Anne Fleming died Feb. 26, 2026 in Sidney following a battle with cancer. She was 51.

Her death was shared publicly in a heartfelt post by her Supernatural co-star and on-screen husband Jim Beaver, who remember Fleming not only as a colleague, but as someone he deeply loved.
