It was a lot of fun - clever and funny script, stylishly shot, and great performances, especially from Daniel Craig. Not an all-time classic but a good watch.

 

Surprised by the distaste for Rian Johnson on here! His attachment was a huge selling point for me. I thought Looper was nonsense but I've loved everything else he's done.

He wrote and directed the utter train wreck that was The Last Jedi. That's where my aversion comes from.

I thought Last Jedi had a couple of questionable storytelling points but was overall hugely enjoyable (and the most visually engrossing SW film there is). Shrug.

He also directed some of the very very best Breaking Bad episodes.
