Something is happening now.

 

 

The crappy Building was demolished this morning and construction will start soon.

 

I think there will be 5 buildings constructed on site. All rentals something like 55 units

 

The proposal for a 17 storey building failed.

 

The house at the back of the lot has hazmat teams in it removing asbestos and other things not meant for human consumption

I'm the property owner and things are happening in October indeed.

 

New building's name is "Promenade on Jacklin"

 

New building is a 52 unit rental building.  4 storey, wood frame.  Mix of 1, 1+Den, 2 bed and 3 bedrooms. 

 

General contractor is Kinetic and architect is Daryoush Firouzli from Nanaimo.

 

Here are a couple of renderings of final building:

and

 

I'll post more information as project progresses.

That place was an old eyesore will be nice to have this addition.

 

Nice to see some colour other than the  typical Langford Browns and Grays and river rock themes.
