That's a BIG bowling alley....
It's interesting to note that there is no transit connection to this ever-growing recreation area, the arena, the new stadium, kids play-park and mini-golf etc. It's almost a 2km walk from the transit exchange at Jacklin to the new stadium, and about 1.6km to the arena. The Langford Trolley does roll in once an hour though.

Given that it is largely used by families and that it is in the 'burbs, the lack of transit is no big deal.
Parents will drive kids to hockey and figure skating, no one will bus. I tried that a couple of times in the city and it SUCKS.
It is close enough that kids can bike over.
In general, suburban transit use is very heavily commuter related. In Greater Vancouver they tried over and over again to introduce local transit in the 'burbs and it took years for any of it to be used. Richmond and Surrey now have decent local transit use for non commuting. Delta does not. More people live in Ladner and Tsawwassen than live on the Westshore and they can not really support local transit.

What about for the stadium though? If you want to go catch a soccer or football (our only local "Victoria" teams in those sports) game and you don't live out there, you have a 1-hour transit ride, then a 20-30 minute walk. Don't you think a fair amount of people catch the bus to go watch the Salmon Kings? Especially if you are having beers at the game, which you can have when watching the Rebels or Highlanders...
