Apparently the (red) barn doors open Thursday. At the least according to Home Hardware, next door.

Peaked in today and it looks sweet.

I think parking will be a problem with minimal parking behind the store, and with Home Hardware next door and GardenWorks across the street.

Indeed, and with all the residential only parking in the area, bet a lot of people will park in the home hardware lot spend ten minutes in home hardware and then 30 Minutes at the grocery store without moving their car.

Lots of choice for people in that part of town. RB, Fairway, Save-On within a few blocks and Thrifty's about 2km.

Their prices on fruits, veggies and meats are definitely lower than other choices in the area - and quality is very good too.  Closest local competition in price and quality (except for meats) is Fairways. The Oak Bay Butcher, estevan butcher will need to cut prices to be remotely competitive.

I agree.  And maybe some hay bales around the perimeter.

Yeah it's a bit funny it started out more red than it is now, the white and gray building with lots of red around the doorway area does kinda highlight the idea of entering it however.

But I'll never actually go inside.  It's in another time zone from my house.

Do they make sandwiches at the new location? And hopefully if they do the new staff are briefed on the contents of the Kansas City Kyle, among BC's most delicious and calorie filled delights.

it was on the news last night (that sandwich) so I'm pretty sure they are making those.

There will be outside seating so I expect some lunch-y things will be available.

Looked in today, meat counter looked good with many choices and items they prepare themselves. Nice layout, bright, not everything jammed in so you cant move near the tills. Some sauces, condiments etc that we have not seen in other local stores.
