I used to get the sandwiches and wraps at Red Bard Market all the time...........Until they started making them smaller.

The first time I went  in after they made the "BIG CHANGE" to how they make their sandwiches and wraps, I was like "Can I get More of this or more of that in there" and they said no.

That was the end of me going to Red Barn Market.

Pretty disturbing allegations being thrown around in relation to the voyeurism class-action lawsuit against Red Barn.

You Bet..........and the person in question is apparently the SON of one of the owners of Red Barn. So the plot thickens (rubbing hands together in a dark room with a single fire place burning)

A Facebook poster says Red Barn might be going into Capital Centre in James Bay.  Anybody know anything?

It's going in and it's open and most people like it.

How is the Esquimalt location doing? Rumour is that they’re seeing low traffic in that location...

I pop quite often and I agree, it’s not overly busy. I believe access is the biggest culprit there. You literally can’t get in during busy periods when heading east.

My understanding is that paper bags will be free/cheap outside of Victoria so all you need to do is drive a few blocks.

  1. I don't own a car.
  2. Driving outside of the city instead of walking to a local grocer (who currently offers free plastic bags) seems to defeat the so-called environmental benefits of the CoV's forthcoming bylaw.

No and now I never will again. I realize this means nothing to Red Barn, but they have certainly lost a potential customer.

^well with the plastic bag ban going everywhere in the City I take it that means you won't be shopping anywhere in the CoV any more after July 1

There will be a few stand-up businesses that have a spine and will challenge the ban - continue to offer plastic bags for free, and will receive overwhelming customer support in the process.

It's a ridiculous by-law, and ridiculous by-laws always get challenged.

I’m not sure that’s gonna be the case. But it would be cool to see one or two take a stand.
