IF we weren't so focused on height we could worry about good residential architecture like this. Who needs big setbacks and front-yards when the front-wall of your building IS a yard?? A bunch of buildings like this would be awesome in james bay, would fit right in.

Question: has there ever been a true "loft" condo in Victoria, ie: a former warehouse converted into vast, soaring apartments like you see in movies and TV? I know there are office and church conversions but I'd like to know if any were actual factory or warehouse spaces. The closest I can think of would be the Wilson apartments on Herald Street.

I'd actually have to say the closest is the Hudson. What is a department store but a lofty warehouse you can browse for goods in?

The condo for sale at the Palladian is a pretty cool loft. Its been forsale forever. I guess no one wants to pay 700k for a place with no outside space and no parking.

Not to mention the area is ground zero for all sorts of downtown craziness.
Know it all.
