I think that’s accurate. But on this part of Shelbourne, many do park. They will need to go elsewhere.

I always find it weird driving all the way down Shelbourne and going through this section which is the only part where residents park. Any resident there with a lick of sense saw this coming a long time ago.

If most residents of the CoV had any lick of sense we wouldn't have the local government that is approving this.

Should car owners expect the COV taxpayers to provide parking out side their homes?

If they have for the past 50+ years, then yes, they might not expect a change.

It'll all work out.

As a taxpayer, at least street parking adjacent to my home is something tangible. I am not sure I see much else for the annual pound of flesh extracted from me by the CoV.

And this bike lane along Shelburne Street has been in the OCP for quite a while.

Drove down from Hillside mall to Cedar Hill X rd yesterday with the kidlin.....geez its like driving a battered broken down WWII tank missing one tread down there. There are potholes big enough to have their own postal codes and side roads blocked off and semi-blocked off all along that corridor. It literally looks and feels like a war zone, can't be great either for residents or the smaller businesses fronting directly onto Shelbourne.

Enjoy the war zone, because it's better than the 2 lane cow path that will be left once Saanich's "improvements" are completed along Shelbourne.

Mike K. probably wouldn't notice. The tanks he drives are very well maintained.
