It's not the "same old rhetoric". It's a fear of what may be done, out of gut feelings or dogma, that will affect Victoria for many, many years to come. Some of what Council has done is working...some was rushed through before being fully thought through. The space we're talking about, has to be framed by the redevelopment of the Northern Junk buildings. Let's just see how it looks, and how the new bike lanes along Wharf are working, before any decisions are made.
