^ I have noticed a big shift in music trends over the past year due to covid. A few bands that I follow have moved entirely to online delivery and plan to pass on the club circuit at least for the foreseeable future. Between youtube, patreon and twitch these groups are making a decent living producing and monetizing content without the hassle of loading gear into a van and hitting the road. Will see if it lasts.

Without concerts and festivals, where will everyone go for their sunburn and portapotty fix?

There have been some comments and speculation lately around icbc’s new insurance model and how it will affect insurance rates for LP venues such as this and the pub business in general.

Will rates drop?

Matt.

What relationship does ICBC have with insurance for private businesses? Are they theorizing stricter insurance programs will lessen drinking and driving?

^ There was talk of having ICBC start underwriting insurance for bars and nightclubs as private insurance was becoming too expensive.

It’s not my wheelhouse as my liquor sales don’t move the needle on my insurance but the idea is that the exposure to the business in case of accident is lowered therefore the premiums may be lowered as well.
