A pub there is too close to the legislature, too much temptation for the already confused politicians.

I suppose their mandate is to get as much revenue as possible from the space, but a restaurant/pub hardly seems imaginative. We could use a few more things for people to do when they get here than just eat/drink. I dunno.

I'm about three drinks a year removed from being a non-drinker so I really don't care about new pubs, etc...

Can't people grab a beer and a salad at Milestones on the other side of the harbour?

It's a shame the was museum is going.

^I would go to a Was museum.

At least a pub/restaurant will re-open the closed off windows on the ground floor and potentially activate the dreary northern side of the CPR building.

The Coho ferry terminal would be a good candidate for the old CRR terminal and would honour the historic ties to to passenger ships entering the harbour.

No pub...please.

Have we strayed off topic? While the harbour authority offices are in the former CPR bldg, they don't manage this space.
