Hey Vibrant Victoria,
I've got a question that I hope someone can answer.

We're planning Bubbles and Bennies for the long weekend (Order any of our Benedicts and add a Mimosa)

I believe that there's a Victoria bylaw which dictates the least we can sell a drink for, and I don't want to run afoul of it, but I'm not sure of the details.

Am I right? is there a bylaw? if so, what is the least I can sell a drink for? (I've heard $3)

Cheers!

Pair it with food and make it over $3 and you are OK. ie, you could have a beer and an extra large pizza for $3 and it would be fine. And now that food and liquor is the same tax, it doesn't matter how you apply the tax. Before, you'd have to make sure that you paid the full 15% on at least the cost of the liquor portion, now it doesn't matter.

If you go to a place that has a beer and burger deal, you'll likely see the beer cost broken out on the bill at a very small price, like $1 or $1.50. That's fine, as long as it could not be bought separate.
