Not sure how far that $25k is going to go.

Anyway, the building has been vacant since the leather dry-cleaner left about 6 months ago.

That won't even buy Ida lunch for 6 months.

Odd the current building is already leased to a florist.

Unless that's the new commercial tenant in a new building, and it's going to be built in two or three weeks by...

OK so the florist has been open in the former T-shirt space now for several months and today I noticed that the painters moving into the former dry-cleaning space have installed permanent looking signs. Does anyone have scoop whether the proposed project is going ahead or is this just another fiction-based CFAX rumour?

Today the flower shop is completely empty. I still can't figure out the painters, though also today a foosball table has appeared in the front of their office space. I am not sure what function that plays in commercial painting.

Last week I saw people moving out from one of the 2nd floor apartments, so maybe the upstairs is empty. I have never seen much activity up there at any time.

Both the florist and painters seemed/seem like temporary tenants. Is there any chance the affordable housing project is actually going ahead at this location?

UPDATE: The windows of the former flower shop are now covered in newspaper and today large letters have gone up that say "Opening Soon", but no indication WHAT is opening soon. Does anyone have the scoop?

The current tenant, the "New Age Thrift Store" seems to have no plans to vacate the space. I doubt this one is on anyone's radar.
