Mee Wah is at 1950 Oak Bay Ave. Until about six or so months ago (when new owners took over), this was our favourite Chinese food.
Although the lunch specials are pretty good value (about $6.50), we have really noticed a deterioration of the quality of the food in general. Now, it is just another Chinese food restaurant; we don't go out of our way to have a meal there anymore.
Has anyone else noticed the difference in quality now? It is too bad; I would rather pay a bit extra to maintain the consistent quality that this restaurant used to produce.

I've noticed the difference as well. I also loved to go there occasionally for Chinese food but the last time was a disappointment.

Can't imagine what its like now. Last time I went it was what we used to call "shopping mall Chinese".

Yep, I used to go here all the time when it was regarded as one of the best in town. Now it's very much "shopping mall chinese" as I unfortunately dined there not knowing about the new management and horrible drop in quality. New owners, what can you do?
