^I tried that once and I got clocked by an elbow thrown by Helen Hughes and I was gone for two weeks.
"Beaver, ahoy!""The bridge is like a magnet, attracting both pedestrians and over 30,000 vehicles daily who enjoy the views of Victoria's harbour. The skyline may change, but "Big Blue" as some call it, will always be there."

Rugby!
Unfortunately, you have to really work at discovering the weekly venues and start times. Unless you're a team insider, it's difficult to discover the most up-to-date information. The folks over at [url=http://www.bcrugbynews.com/:12db8]BC Rugby News[/url:12db8] did a great job during the last season providing current information but they seem to be less enthusiastic this fall (It's a lot of hard, unpaid work so I appreciate it's difficult to maintain a high level of enthusiasm) but it's still a great resource.
Despite Victoria being a national hotbed for developing new talent, it's rather odd that our venues are not that impressive. To see great rugby, you generally have to be willing to spend $5 or $10 to stand on the touch line of the pitch (sideline of the field) for a full 90 minute game; bleachers can be hard to find.
On the upside, the game just goes. None of this 45 seconds of play and then several minutes waiting for something else to happen silliness of baseball or football. It's also time efficient so you can expect a game won't take much more than an hour and a half unlike some Mariner games I've sat through that dragged on for hours.
The athleticism of the players also has to be respected. Most players play the full game running the full length of the field and engaging in physical play for the ball. Unlike football where you have both defensive and offensive team players who only play a few moments at a time before they rest, rugby players are moving during the whole game.
