Looks like something's finally going into the old Bryan's at Government and Johnson. Windows covered in paper, so no idea what it is...

Fjallraven, a Swedish outdoor equipment company. They're known for their backpacks.

They make high quality outdoor apparel as well. Swedish based company, so quite expensive.

I mean, the backpacks alone are of extremely high quality. Not your run of the mill canvass. Many people in Sweden have packs from that company that are 30+ years old and still in good shape.

When you compare that to what other high quality backpacks go for...it's not far off.

If you want high quality outdoor gear or anything else you can order from Filson either on Water St. in Vancouver or from the factory in Seattle. I bought some luggage from them, very well made.

Life's a journey......so roll down the window and enjoy the breeze.

...it's a real store.

It is indeed...

Another funky store just opened in the Bay Centre called 9D Adventures (next to Sport Chek).  They have a couple of VR rides where you sit in a seat that moves to the scene.  They also sell stuff, like canned oxygen inhalers.  In fact, oxygen seems a big part of what they do.  Notice the oxygen bar on the left.  That's where you go after the ride if you're feeling woosey - will fix you right up.  Joey (the guy waving) and his partner run the place - friendly folks.  You can learn more here: https://www.facebook...92971537787229/

And finally, the Bay Centre is looking good, all decked out for the holidays...

I guess the market for CO2 is limited.

It's not retail, but there's an application for an axe throwing club in Rock Bay, at 2612 Bridge Street. Dev Tracker folder for the required parking variance: https://tender.victo...Number=DVP00203

Katie DeRosa is an axe-thrower?  I know she has axes to grind, I guess this is just a natural expansion.

So it's a bark store or a small version of Bedrock City.

Looks like the new Fjällräven store at Government & Johnson opened up this weekend. Sharp looking spot.

Also heard from staff that Hallmark at the Bay Centre is closing in the new year.
