It would make sense it's personal services, (spa etc) because the interior is being framed up. No more open plan. Which is too bad because in the right hands it would have been a cool modern restaurant in the style of Floyd's or the Blue Fox. A Victoria location of Vancouver's Fable Diner would have been perfect.

But alas, it will likely be a nail salon or such.

There's been a lot of turnover in this location during the past few years. Whatever it's becoming probably won't be there forever.

maybe it's going to be "pain clinic".   right close to view towers.

I noticed that the former "Grocery Plus" (which included a Chinese restaurant before it was briefly a Persian business) at the corner of Quadra and View, which was vacant for a long time, is undergoing renovations.  Does anyone know which retailer will be occupying this space?  VicMap shows that one of the permits is to add a 'personal services' component...

There's also an electrical permit that mentions a new optometry office

Do we have plans for how they’re envisioning to upgrade the space?

When that joke was told for the first time my great grandfather laughed so hard he kicked the slats out of his crib.

It’s on a high visibility corner, too.

How has nobody mentioned that it's on View Street

No wonder this practice *contacted* its commercial real estate broker to secure the space.  Hopefully the design will be a *sight* to behold...

A pun contest without aastra? I'm worried why we haven't seen him for a while.

I’d be surprised if many businesses make it through this

today’s tc letter from businesses is quite strange. first it heaps quite a bit of praise on the tc then the author reiterates how they will continue to use print advertising. but it’s also anonymous. i’m not at all suggesting it’s not authentic. it’s just that it’s quite quirky.

This submission, from a Victoria retailer who chooses to remain anonymous, is part of our continuing series on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on local businesses and organizations. “We have chosen to withhold putting our name to the piece so we can sidestep publicity good, bad or otherwise,” we were told.

Besides developing an online store of our own and communicating with our customers by phone and email, we have rebooted our newspaper ad campaign to reflect the new reality.

We continue to work out of the store daily, with one person manning the fort to field phone calls and package up online orders for delivery.
