Not a surprise if apparel stores are closed!

Also, I don't need the fitting room at a brick and mortar business to ensure that my day pajamas are perfectly sized.

I don't remember the last time I bought a pair of shoes in a store.
I recently bought one of those fancy 'Hedgehog' umbrellas online, only to find out after I ordered it there is a local store that sells them. It's too bad the order doesn't go to the closest store to ship or make available for pickup

Yup, $7 tshirts from my tshirt guy when I pick up work stuff, jeans on duer.ca and Blundstones, socks and underpants on Amazon.
Too bad I can’t buy a sense of fashion online!
Matt.
Works well if you know your size and buy the same stuff. With shoes as an example, I am between 9.5 and 11 depending on brand and model. If I was to buy online either I would either be sending a lot back or wearing shoes that were slightly too big or small.

No way I can buy clothing or shoes on-line. I have enough trouble in person trying to find stuff that fits.

I had never heard of duer.ca, but I think I will give them a try tomorrow.
I did however, notice their models had a significantly different shape than mine.

The Cunningham family, who have been fixing cars and selling gasoline on the Saanich Peninsula for 98 years and through five generations, have pulled down the bay doors and shut off the pumps.
The station on the Pat Bay Highway near Elk Lake was sold to a Vancouver buyer this month who will redevelop the site into a Chevron station, likely by September, says the family.

And the records are all still there in grease-stained bound volumes, including an entry in October 1925, when a Mr. Colin Campbell traded two chickens for a gallon of gas.
Cunningham’s station was rebranded to Shell in 1928 and a new building with four mechanical bays was erected in the early 1950s, when the current Pat Bay Highway was built. It was changed to FasGas in 2010.
For Al Cunningham, 77, it’s a bittersweet departure from the business he has operated since 1983. Many of those years were spent working alongside his wife, Val, who operated a coffee bar. She died in 2003.

A strip mall history
Shelbourne Plaza, located at Shelbourne Street and Cedar Hill Cross Road, opened on Jan. 27, 1960, a year before the Cordova Bay Plaza.
According to building permit records, the Esquimalt Plaza opened in 1962, while the Fairfield Plaza, located across the street from Ross Bay Cemetery, was constructed in 1957.

Looks like GardenWorks found a new spot on Oak Bay Ave! Someone on Oak Bay Local posted that it will be moving a couple blocks down onto the Oak Bay side of the Avenue into the building that was previously VI Fitness (next to the Village Butcher). I'm super happy about this!

Good to hear about Gardenworks. We go there quite often.

Not sure what the plan is here, but there's fencing around the former Terp City Cannabis Lounge next to Legato. There's work going on inside with signs saying they're doing an interior strip-out.

BP issued for the strip out with Keay Architecture Ltd as the applicant on record. The second BP for change of use to a restaurant is listed as On Hold.

Got a scoop for you Mike!
L.L. Bean has submitted BP and sign applications for a new store at Mayfair Shopping Centre. The store would occupy the current Tresah presentation centre in the new wing. L.L. Bean recently expanded into Canada and currently operates five stores in Ontario.
