I wonder if Liu is interested in purchasing the brand and repurposing it in a different form factor? I do think the Bay selling washers and dryers and toasters seems like a losing battle.

So has anyone here actually made a visit to the floating Havn spa? Reviews in general seem to be very positive.

I've spoken to several people who have gone. They seemed to have enjoyed the experience.

Talked to a few people who went while it was fun it not fun enough to go a second time, not cheap for what it actually provides seems to be the general opinion.

Beleaguered retailer Hudson's Bay has attracted a bid from Canadian Tire, two sources familiar with the sales process say.
The sources, who are not being named because they were not authorized to speak about the matter, say the household goods chain has made a bid for some of the faltering department store's intellectual property.
Anyone interested in owning Hudson's Bay assets had until 5 p.m. on Wednesday to make a formal bid as part of the retailer's creditor protection court case.
Toronto investment manager Urbana Corp. has made a bid for the company's intellectual property, while billionaire B.C. mall owner Weihong Liu has said she would make a pitch to run some Bay stores. Liu told the Toronto Star yesterday she had bid on 25 locations.

So apparently Uniqlo and Apple are making the move to setup shop at Mayfair, according to this Reddit post...
The OP shared in the comments a link to a video from Weihong Liu's RedNote account where she seems to confirm this, and even gave a rough date of November for Uniqlo's opening. Don't know if RedNote links are allowed here, so I'll leave that at your discretion to check it out. It's in Chinese, but there are English subtitles.
This seems pretty big coming directly from the mall owner herself, especially given all the Apple rumours over the years.

This has been planned for such a long time. The city needs an Apple Store for servicing.

An Ontario court has extended Hudson’s Bay’s reprieve from the hundreds of businesses it owes money until the end of July.
Judge Peter Osborne granted Canada’s oldest company permission to stretch the period of time it is protected from its creditors to July 31 rather than ending May 15.
Hudson’s Bay lawyer Ashley Taylor argued the extension is necessary to the ongoing process of finding buyers for the business and its assets, as well as takers for its leases.
He also used the court appearance to ask for permission to repay as much as $165 million to Hudson’s Bay’s senior lenders because the department store chain’s liquidation sales have generated money beyond its operating needs.
Because Osborne approved Taylor’s request, the first of that money, about $46 million, will make its way to Restore Capital LLC around May 23 and $24.6 million will be sent to Bank of America.
Hudson’s Bay filed for creditor protection in March, citing difficulty paying its mounting bills and has been liquidating all of its stores.

This might not be the right thread, and might not even be worth posting, but I noticed that the For Lease signs have been taken down at the spot last occupied by 7-11 on Bay street next to Douglas.

$15,100/Monthly
Unique opportunity to lease a full retail building in the heart of downtown Victoria’s Old Town District. The subject property lends itself to a wide variety of commercial uses, benefitting from high-exposure signage facing Government St, a diverse mix of interior spaces, exceptional ceiling heights, and character-rich heritage elements throughout. The subject building is situated next to the intersection of Government Street and lower Johnson Street, Victoria’s two most popular shopping corridors. The area is characterised by high year-round foot traffic from both tourists and locals alike, contributing to the vibrant and active atmosphere that Victoria’s Old Town District is best known for. 2025 triple net expenses estimated at $4,435 per month.
