The last time the phrase "All White Help" appeared in the Colonist was 1941. It says The Pink Shrimp opened August 1949 and was put up for sale in July 1951. The name didn't appear after 1954.

another portion of the menu might have bad grammar.  the part that reads:   "fast service greet you".  but only when taken out of context.  in its full context in the wider photo it seems fine.

 

the menu is probably designed by the white staff.

No, you seem to have made it worse.

but it might not be.

 

however I see

 

7AM till 1:30AM and "till" has no basis in correct grammar or spelling.

 

flavor is spelled wrong.

 

And deLUXE hamburger seems wrong.

Probably at the top, 'Let' is cut off of the picture; so 'Let our fast service greet you' isn't so bad.

^Some thoughts:

 

1. That menu is huge. It's crazy that some restaurants had like five items and some had five hundred
2. Cold pork sandwich? Sardine sandwich?
3. For all those items it's actually pretty boring. I suspect old restaurants would not be up to today's flavour standards
4. What colour is the help at this place?
