There was a small barge under the bridge last night and it appeared they were working on the fender boards on the east side of the old pier.

A final look at the Bascule Pier prior to installation of the rings...
Lots of last minute activity on site. In the closeup pic, a surveyor can be seen, possibly checking some final alignments?

Barge went through this morning without a hitch. Bridge might be back open in 10 minutes.

It's disappointing that Gary H didn't bother to clean his balcony for the occasion. I'm pretty sure that I can see at least one little speck of something. Maybe two specks.
