Hesjedal's Cannondale-Garmin team is in 10th position out of 22 teams.

Ryder is currently 104th  at 24 minutes  2 seconds back of the leader.

I am guessing he will be out of the tour fairly soon.

20 km to go in today's stage and Ryder and the rest of TCG are at the front of the peloton. This will be an interesting finish.
EDIT: Second place for TCG's Dan Martin today. Team time trial tomorrow.

The top rider on Team Cannondale Garmin today was Hesjedal finishing 45th in the stage 8 minutes 50 seconds back of the leader.

This result pulls him up to 80th overall at 45 min 28 sec back.

Hesjedal has left Slipstream Sports and Team Cannondale-Garmin after eight years. He has signed a one year contract with Trek Factory Racing.

Ryder just pulled out of the Giro D'Italia due to health issues. Big disappointment.

That really sucks. If I remember correctly, hasn't he dropped out of some big name races for illness/injury in the past?

Ryder has pulled out of the Olympics as well as the Tour de France, on now.

Disappointing Tour for Canada. Even legendary "Red Lantern" contender Svein Tuft is absent this year.

Too bad about Ryder, but today's finish was thrilling.

I haven't watched the Tour De France since the Armstrong scandal.
