As for French onion soup, I actually don't mind Tim Horton's take on it when its available.

The Keg also gives you free salsa, quacamole and sour cream. For around $5 you just can't beat that.

Thanks for the suggestions, ever since i went to france i just cant find a good french onion soup. Bon Rouge is good, the elephant castle in van was good, but the boston pizza one does not work for me! I think i'll be making some!
Just returned from Fort McMurray and ate at Boston Pizza 4 days in a row.
You are correct, the French Onion soup is not the quality one would search for when the cravings are high.
This is not a complicated dish....having said that there are some fantastic recipes out there for the do it your self chef.
Anyone care to share the secret their mother gave up?
