As anyone who has tried to look up the laws in the blessed province knows, it's a pay to play game... which is a rant for another time. A long bitter rant with lots of curse words....

Back to the point I wanted to make... I suspect that there are words, written down on paper that describe the process for a referendum changing the status of a municipality. I am not looking for the little brochure that the province put out, I am looking for the procedural nuts and bolts of how such a referendum would be run, what financing rules are in place etc.

Although my current use has nothing to do with amalgamation, this is knowledge that both sides of the debate should have in the future, which is why I'm posting this here.....
