Thanks to the Canoe Brewpub for the tour (and the free jugs of beer and appys!) Stay tuned for the next DRA members' event!

----

Here's an event for everyone, even if you live outside town and aren't a DRA member. Come by tomorrow and bring the kids!

Paint-In:
Take Back the Buckerfield's/Theatre Alley Lot in DRA Chinatown!

The DRA, in co-operation with the City of Victoria, Anthem Properties, and Market Square, has organized a community art project. We have 50 cut-outs of people, all shapes and sizes of people. People walking, people shopping, people talking, cyclers, people and their dogs, people pushing strollers, kids.....The shapes are each about 28" in height and are made of 1/8" sign-plastic, ready to paint. After they are painted, we are going to attach them to the boundary fence around the Buckerfield's/Theatre Alley Lot on Pandora Avenue.

The Paint-In is
this Saturday, November 25, between Noon and 4PM, at the old Satin Moon Quilt shop in Market Square.
Please come join in the fun.
Everyone loves to paint!
We have amazing colours!
All materials supplied. All you have to do is show up.
Pizza and Pop!
Invitation open to all residents, anyone who works in the neighborhood, and friends, until the pieces are finished.

We will install the pieces on the following Saturday, December 2.

Please call 477 9573, or email sandrameigs(at)shaw.ca for more information on this event.

^Thanks sounds pretty good. Do they have cutouts of the 2 homeless guys who hang out next to the Swans beer store? :-D
I guess Anthem has no plans of developing the site for some time then, that's too bad. :(

Thats a great idea Rob, that site is a horrible eyesore. A variety of people have been begging Anthem to do something artistic around that fence but they showed no interest.
Nowadays most people die of a sort of creeping common sense, and discover when it is too late that the only things one never regrets are one's mistakes.

A good time was had by all last night. Thanks to Graham Campbell of the Douglas Hotel and the participating wineries. Also cheers to Bailey's for managing to obtain their new sold-out mint and caramel flavour Bailey's liqueurs for us to sample.

And most of all, thanks to all the Downtown supporters for coming out and making the evening a success!

Cheers!
