I wonder what the point of that lip is. I have 8" high lips at my sliding doors and I can't stand them.
I also wonder what the point of that is. Its in Dockside green, the Hudson, and Bayview, making it a standard of normal construction.... why?

Is the flodding around the waterfall or elsewhere in the building?
I'm not sure of how close it is to the waterfall but my friend is/was on the 10th floor where this latest bit of flooding is happening.

They have done absolutely nothing to screen the high ceilings or to add any kind of aesthetic anything. By comparison, the Macs at the NW corner of Yates and Douglas was required to include heritage elements, given the heritage nature of the building they are in. So there are appropriate lighting fixtures and historic photos in the window.
At least they should put some translucent screening on the top 3-4 feet of the exterior windows. (to block our view of their ceiling fixtures and ventilation ducts)

Surely they'd do better business if they looked more inviting.

BTW, the Mac's at Yates and Douglas looks like crap. The exterior is filthy, faded and decrepit.
