I heard Cliff on the "Q" talking about it saying the screen will be up and running for the next home game?

The Royals lost to the Cougars 3-1 tonight in front of 7,000 fans.

The new Jumbo-tron screens are a nice touch. Replays from 3 different angles.

I went to a Royals game a couple weeks ago and loved the new screen! It wasn't there for the home opener in September, and it definitely improves the arena experience.

Last two regular-season games next week. This coming Wednesday, the game is now sold out. Friday likely will be too.

I think the majority of Saturday night games were sold out this season, which was never the case when the Salmon Kings were playing.

I wish we had a good way to compare apples to oranges.

This year we got video screens and play-by-play on radio.

BTW, they are even having a team awards banquet this year, something they never did with SKs.

Went to the game last night for a few minutes.

That video set up is awesome. Hard to believe it took them 8 years to realize it's a good idea.

I liked the Royal Lepage clock, with the slogan WE HELP PEOPLE or something. And both hands have fallen off the clock. Not much help to people.:):)

I like the fact that the game was broadcasted on Shaw. That's a big improvement.

They do (through the WHL website) but it costs $. I bought the "away" package for the Royals and it came to $2.50 a game or something. Higher if you're buying them one at a time.

This should make Mark Donnelly's next appearance at a Royals game more interesting...

The Victoria Royals will have a new head coach and general manager next season.

The Western Hockey League club announced suddenly Friday afternoon that current head coach and GM Marc Habscheid is taking on a new position with GSL Holdings Ltd., parent company of RG Properties, the latter being the Vancouver-based company which owns the Royals and manages Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre.

I don't write this, and frankly could not have done better:

Fans at Saturday's game will receive a Royals banner clapper courtesy of National Bank Financial Group upon entrance. Pre-game festivities will also include live piano entertainment by Skye Mundell, the 2011 winner of Vancouver Island's Got Talent.

This year's home opener is presented by Connect Hearing, Canada's largest network of Registered Audiologists and professional Hearing Instrument Practitioners. Connect Hearing will be giving away hearing protection at their booth near Gate 1 of the main concourse throughout the game.
