It's not eggsactly ideal parking.

The mods aren't going to be ecstatic about that unextraordinary pun. I'm just waiting for them to come in here and crack heads. But wouldn't it be exciting if they make an exception for once?*

*did y'all catch the hilariously implied egg puns?

I’m not sure if in my entire life I’ve been to a store/restaurant in there. There was a fish chip place right? Was there also a butcher?

Four Ways Fish and Chips was famous back in the day. Our mom would give my brother and I a few coins and a note for the teacher on a regular basis so we could go there for lunch off of the Cloverdale School grounds.

That way she wouldn't have to make sandwiches.

There was also Four Ways Grocery and Meats as well as Atherton's Pharmacy. My favourite though was Phil's confectionary down the road at Tattersall. Phil would sell smokes to kids on the down low.

Langford’s new city council faced its first big vote since October’s election, voting to approve borrowing up to $46 million for the Centre Mountain Business Park in Monday’s (Dec. 5) council meeting.

Scia’new (Beecher Bay) First Nation Chief Russ Chipps and the nation’s lawyer Robert Janes both spoke passionately in favour of the industrial development – saying it’s an important step for reconciliation.

Staff will bring a parcel tax rate bylaw to council at a later date. The parcel tax would be on the property owners within the Centre Mountain development to pay back the cost of the loans.

Any bets? Was Langford ever repaid the $29M it borrowed for the interchange?

The Justice Institute of BC has moved its downtown Victoria campus at Fort and Blanshard to Royal Roads, citing poor conditions in the downtown core, including parking issues. JIBC’s sole Island campus was in Victoria, and it opened in 2011.

They will eventually situate in the post-secondary campus under construction in downtown Langford.

With the province announcing WFH as a strategy moving forward for worker retention and recruiting, downtown Victoria is going to have a plethora of un-leased spaces in the coming years. What do we think will happen with these buildings? Conversions into residential units? Demolition of older office buildings?

Won’t music venues disrupt the peace and quiet for the residents in residential towers nearby?
