Well they did some renos and brought in Starbucks and big wheel so it will be getting more popular

Big Wheel Burger is now open for food and beverage at Gateway Mall by the Starbucks. For all you people
who found the trek into fairfield to distressing, their wonderful fare is now a little closer.

Not impressed with my first visit in Saanich. Hopefully it's just finding its way with new employees and space. I'll go again soon.

Went there to check it out as well, but I too was not impressed. Patty too small for the bun on the beef burger which leaves you with all bun bites, and the batter doesn't stick to the chicken breast which makes the burger impossible to eat. I think I've been spoiled having recently been to In n Out.

Just finished at the Saanich location again. It was a better experience - still rough around the edges (no up lies, straws, WiFi is down, orders packed opposite of "to stay / go"). Still for the price I felt a bit let down, but sufficient improvement I'll again be back for a round three try.

Paid a Visit today. Location has ample parking. Fresh bright and airy inside.

Located next to the Starbucks.

Same menu and same quality as Cook St village Location.

Thanks to thundergun for the heads-up. Co-owner Calen McNeil has now confirmed Big Wheel will be taking over the Quizno's space at West Side Village.

It's a great little spot. I kind of hate entering and exiting that plaza, but once you're in the Big Wheel is a nice space for a fun dinner.

This is getting close to my 'hood: so is B-W any good? Sorry to lose Quizno's as I prefer them to Subway by a country mile. A good burger place isn't a bad tradeoff though, assuming it is "good"....

It's a classic burger joint but made with high quality ingredients. I think it's great, but I also think Quizno's is garbage (not a big fan of Subway either), so can't guarantee you'll like it.
