And just to append to Linear's post, that's the portion between Tolmie Road and (originally) Saanich Road, but the province extended the scope to the Burnside Road TCH bridge.

Not sure what this is about but it seems there's a new 82 route that will be going through Central Saanich? I can't find anything on the website https://twitter.com/...040304257368064

Ah, very good.
Here's the rest of the puzzle:
BC Transit Soft Costs | $70,000
Design Costs | $245,000
City "Eligible Costs" | $321,000
Construction Contingency Allowance* | $250,000________________________________
Project Costs Subtotal | $3,912,000
Project Contingency (10%)** | $391,000
Total Budget Approval Request (with contingency) | $4,303,000
Why are there two amounts for contingency? $250,000 plus 10% of the total, another $391,000. Contingency on contingency?

Also it’s northbound only although the TCH work allows for eventual expansion to southbound too.
I don't know what this is supposed to look like but IIRC it runs down the center of the roadway. If that is so, why do they need a northbound and southbound lane. Wouldn't you just use the lane southbound in the morning and then use it northbound in the evening?

YDRC. These are bus on shoulder lanes.
Basically there will be a wider painted median in the middle for the next couple of years until they get their shizt together to fund, design and construct the southbound lane.

The new schedule previews are up. From here we can see all the changes to routes 2, 3, 7, 10, 19, 21, 30 and 31 (weirdly the 30 still hasn't had the preview map updated so it still has the bus going through James Bay and Saanich > Vernon > Ravine > Carey instead of directly up Carey).
We can also see the 22N will no longer exist and is instead replaced by the 21N which guessing by the timing points seems to turn right on Wilkinson from Interuraban than left on Burnside bypassing Interurban (despite the 22N basically being a 21 when leaving Camosun).
The 76 also returns and the new route is 82 which goes Sidney/Saanichton via Stautw.
Other than 1 and 2 saying "South Oak Bay" instead of "Oak Bay" I don't see any other new things but I didn't check every single route.

Musk is right, we only do public transit as that's where we are in evolution so far. Once your personal pod can go on streets, in subway tunnels, across oceans on a platform ship and in the air on a plane platform, that's the way we'll prefer. So your pod will be like a mini shipping container, to be whisked around as you see fit.

I don't agree. I think there will be options to share those pods with others and many of us with not only want to do so for the cheaper rates but also for some conversation. But more than that his comments were elitist over the top (serial killers, really?).

But you can "pimp up your pod", and leave items/groceries in it while you are at dinner etc. You can't do that with fully-shared pods.

A fair portion of serial killers use public transit.

He murdered men he brought home from gay bars, malls and bus stops. Jeffrey Dahmer murdered 17 young men from 1978 to 1991, only pausing his killing spree in the mid-1980s when his father forced him to join the Air Force.

I wasn’t expecting to read about serial killers in this thread...
The subject topic is merely a suggestion.
