Occupancy on the first building (750 Pandora) is apparently only 2-3 weeks away now.  Some furniture is set up, interior windows are being washed, etc.

Just saw that this building will actually have a bike thru window.  I swear I have nothing to do with it.

I feel like we haven't spoken enough about how fantastic this project is / is going to be for downtown. Like holy crap, what a difference this is.

I know.  There's already a new bike thru window and that's only the beginning.  These bike lanes are rocking it.

They've been working into the evening on the interior.  Those big windows really add to the skyline at night.

I really hope they'll leave the lights on at night once the building is occupied. As you say, it really adds to downtown vibe at night.

Yeah as many of us alluded to years ago, this building will have a massive impact on downtown. It will move the gravity of the CBD north by blocks. On top of that we are going to have a lot of new likely high quality commercial coming with it. This project more than anything in the last twenty years will create the sense of Victoria being the city it always was (just no one wanted to say it). And it also looks amazing.

Yes, that'd be the one. We have not yet heard an official word from the City of Victoria. Why it's taking so long to formally announce the situation is anyone's guess.

And the week before all the windows on the Pandora building were being washed. Occupancy must be imminent.

The landscaping and finishing touches are being applied to the Pandora building. Once the sidewalk is completed the building should be ready for occupancy?

The first tranche of staff have moved into 750 Pandora from their previous Jutland location.  Consider building 1 of 2 completed.

(in other words I saw the moving trucks Saturday at the IMC building on Jutland after I'd dropped off yard waste, and this morning for the first time bikes were in the bike lock up on Pandora)

Chaos will of course occur when the section of Cormorant between Douglas and Blanshard turns two way instead of one.  Chaos in the form of cars figuring out a two week street and loud complaints about the loss of parking spots for bike car lanes.
