The interesting thing about that video is if you click on the close captioning sign at the bottom of the picture and choose the "transcribe audio" function which lets Google's voice recognition experiment attempt to decipher speech. It actually makes more sense than Shebib's actual words.

Shebib is fighting a $100 ticket he received from Capital Regional District bylaw officers in August 2010 for "improper use of wash down" at Hartland Landfill.

Voting David Shebib into any type of office would be the equivalent of letting Clifford Olsen babysit your children.

"We've been dealing with issues on the property for over a year. We've been working to try and gain Mr. Shebib's voluntary compliance, and I guess Mr. Shebib has his own agenda," said Saanich's senior bylaw officer Doug Roberts.

David Shebib, self-proclaimed Garbage Guru...

This man runs his hauling company while living off the welfare recipients he crams into his "Rent-ranch" so he and his serial drunk driving son, Andrew McClain, can live rent free.

He coerces the tenant into helping load and unload the trucks and move the junk that litters his property.

Sometimes he pays them twenty dollars a day. Oftentimes his son Andrew just pockets the money.

The man is not a slumlord but a scumlord. He's not a business owner but a admitted bigot. He told me he has no problem with his drunken rent-pets uttering death threats and hateful racial epithets.

Just as long as rents collected so he and his son can live rent free.

His son Andrew McClain has no less than two DUI's and at least half a dozen speeding tickets. He is more than just an incompetent driver, he's dangerous-fancies himself as a some type of F1 driver, so if you see a Garbage Guru truck o the road pull over and pray.

The free store is just a ploy for him to avoid dumping fees, what doesn't get taken he tries to illegally burn on his property-doesn't matter if the wood has paint or there's fiberglass hanging off of it.

The man can't load a truck to save his life and when he does it's other peoples lives he puts at risk. Please call any other Hauling company on Craigslist except this dangerous money grubbing fraud.

He claims to be against homelessness but plans on building an exclusive resort for rich people on his acreage in Bella Coola.

His daughter told me that when she was young, and living with him in Bella Coola she came down with pneumonia. Rather than take her to the doctor he said he would only take her to the Christian Science Temple. He made her walk to the doctors office-during the dead of winter. She told me how on the way there she fell and was lying in the snow, unsure if she could gather enough strength to get up and keep going.

Throughout his life David Shebib has made a career of hijacking social issues to supplement his ego and line his pockets. One year he may be selling bottled tap water at rallies. Recently he's piggybacked David Arthur Johnson (you know, the homeless "Activist" who doesn't use money?) Shebib is trying to sell the compiled journal of David Arthur Johnson for a profit.

The movement for positive change deserves better.

You deserve better.

Observing the life of Mr. Shebib as he serves as mayor of Saanich would make one hell of an entertaining reality TV show.
