Breaking news (as of Tuesday morning November 15, 2011);
The Four Mile House (Four Mile Pub, Grill and Sports Bar) 199 Island Hwy in View Royal suffered an early morning fire which originated in the kitchen approximately at 1 AM. A recently updated fire sprinkler system and quick action by the View Royal and Colwood fire department saved the historic roadhouse from destruction. Fire damage is initially estimated at between 50,000 and 100,000 dollars.
The Four Mile House was built in 1858 and has housed various businesses over the years.

That's a real shame but it's good that the fire was contained in time. I guess it helps being a block from the fire hall!
