I know it's late, but since we had a prediction thread for the Victoria election, why not have one for the largest municipality in the region!
My prediction is that all incumbents (mayor and council) will be returned and that the vacant council seat will be filled by Rob Wickson. In the scenario that an incumbent is knocked out, I would predict Paul Gerrard to fall and Nichola Wade to be elected. There may still be an off chance that Cubberley could replace Leonard, but it's highly unlikely especially since Cubberley's campaign seems to have lost steam during the last week.

Even with the NDP behind him, this was a tough challenge for Cubberley. He really had nothing to pin on Leonard, a popular mayor. Best he could really do was, "I can do better." Build more cycle trails. Plus the NDP can only spread themselves so thin. Much of their machinery is busy in the city of Victoria on trying to maintain their grip at City Hall.

I saw a pic on facebook of the Cubberly phone room and it only had 5-6 people in it

Well, my prediction was off in that Wade beat Wickson for the empty seat on council. I'm a bit surprised by this because of how much campaigning Wickson was doing and how little Wade was. I think this can be attributed to the fact that Wade was listed on Leonard's slate on the flyer distributed to Saanich residents.

Bernard: Apparently the majority of phoning was done in a separate location.
