I think most people’s assessments went up by 10-25%. So everyone’s taxes remain relatively similar to their neighbours.

What’s different in your situation, np? If you’re not sure, ask your neighbours (in your complex) what their tax increase was. If it was different from yours, something has changed for your property/situation.

Know it all.

Thanks Mike. I may ask around. I know that assessment increases in my building were similar to mine, so I'd be curious to know if this was reflected in the tax notices.

Yup, you should most definitely enquire. Who knows, the City might have misapplied your unit’s tax burden by a mistake like changing the unit use to live-work? But it was meant for your neighbour’s unit? I dunno if that makes sense, but it might be something like that.

Know it all.

Why not just go online and check your neighbour's assessment?

I have. Still need to ask people about their tax notices though.
