Went by this morning and it looked like they're still working on the 4th floor on the east side of the development, so a few more to go. The west side framing appeared to be complete.

Appreciate all the images. Likely by the end of August framing should be complete????? Having some of the black brick for contrast should change the appearance greatly.

Has the Meares St.side been framed to the 5th floor as well?
Any word about leasing for the commercial spaces? During the initial construction there was talk of an exciting new tenant???

One of the best things about the B&W project is that the Zen building (1121 Fort) will finally make sense.

every job is behind schedule, some by one year. There is simply no labour out there and when it all boils down all construction company owners, including me, just don't care about anyone's schedule.

sad to see a builder doesn't care! Is that part of your sales approach?

Pretty much in the interest of all that a building gets completed asap with the exception of a few niches (those selling construction insurance, for example).
The developer is burning a ton of $ on interest when things are delayed. But when you have no labour what do you do?

oookkkk, do you have any idea how busy it is out there?
I get calls all the time begging me to bid jobs because they can't get pricing. Do you think anyone needs a sales approach in construction right now???? That's the funniest thing I have heard
If I bid a job and it should require 30 men and I only have 15 and can't get anyone else they tell me to bid it anyway they need the price
Are you willing to pay an extra 100k for your condo to get it on time? Its a guess of what I would have to pay more to find the guys to meet the fast schedule. Seriously, I want to know. If you aren't willing to pay the 100k then why should I care?
Long story short right now you can have it slow and cheaper or fast and extremely expensive. Take your pick

There is an older condo I came across the other day where the strata corporation approved a major exterior remediation two years ago and they still haven't been able to find a company to take on the job! It is crazy out there.

^may i ask where in town that one is, I have seen a few out for tender lately. The first one I saw in awhile closed 2 months ago and I believe it has been cancelled. The second one I think recently closed and the third has some design issues
crazy is putting it mildly. I told all my friends that unless you desperately need work done, wait
