In 1974 this building was violated by having its rear exposed and the Richard Blanshard Building was inserted into its back end.

This is one of my favorites of post war construction downtown. There are some nice Art Deco Motifs along the roof line .

It's too bad the addition didn't better match, and dare I say, "respect", the original building. The addition is so awful. The massing, the overall design, and the huge useless cave-like entrance...

BC Electric had a bus depot before that at the corner of Pandora and Douglas.
