He was our PM for longer than any modern US president's term, nearly 9 years.

and #6 for length of 22 pms all-time.  #3 for unbroken term (laurier, chretien), #2 for unbroken term in the last 100 years (chretien).

Who cares about Harper, he's a nobody ... no different than you or I.

A Canadian citizen with only their personal opinion to differentiate them from the next Canadian citizen!

Hardly a nobody. I’d like to see you get a one on one with Mukherjee....
I’m no fan but you have to respect the achievement of obtaining and holding the office of prime minister. This makes you a somebody.

And he was an Albertan, to boot.

Know it all.

esp. when you can be elevated or taken out by your own party at any time they choose.  see: paul martin.

There was something incredibly creepy about Harper ... I couldn't ever quite put my finger on it.

My Mom says the same thing. Does not like Harper, thinks his eyebrow are weird and finds him creepy.

BTW, she voted JT for his hair, serious.

I have met Harper, like Rjag said, he is crowd shy. But a nobody!

Back to back terms as Prime Minister of Canada. Lead Canada thru a world financial crisis. Reinvigorated our military.

Clearly a somebody.

You're obviously trolling here, but aside from being former Prime Minister (6th longest serving, at that - he was also a MP for almost two decades), he's currently the Chair of the International Democrat Union, and is in India because he was invited to attend the Raisina Dialogue, an annual geopolitical summit sponsored by the Indian government. He also had a meeting with Prime Minister Modi. Apparently some value his opinion more than just your average Canadian citizen.

Quite the nobody.

Well, of course Harper is a "somebody" to his sycophants!

I disliked Harper when he was in power, and I continue to dislike Harper as he makes hay in his private life cashing in on the notoriety and profile he gained while sucking the taxpayers tit in office.

So yeah, like I wrote earlier ... to me ... he's "a nobody".

I find especially at Starbucks that the non-gender bathroom is often occupied while the Ladies' is empty.  Of course, there is no Men's.  So I've taken to walking into the Ladies' while announcing that I am identifying as a woman for the next five minutes.
