The owner insists that his bike is not the one seen in the video.

Lots of people, including the police, know who it is. The do not have proof, however.
Apparently he posted two videos to his Facebook page. I think he more or less sealed his fate right there if indeed he was bragging about them as someone suggested in the comments section for the Youtube video.

You can see most of his face the entire ride. Not enough to go on though:

If the police follow this thread, VV will solve it for them.
This bike will likely have been caught on a surveillance camera somewhere,
and took place around 2:00 pm judging by the vehicle shadows on the road.
I wonder if the bike came in on a BC Ferry and was on some bet to make a run in record time?

So when exactly did this happen? The cops must have received several 911 calls from drivers and other witnesses at the time, surely? From the article, you'd think this is the first that they've heard of it.
From the TC comments:
This is a current video as I see my car in it, just after the boat when he drove beside us at warp speed and gave us a heart attack.... I called 911 on him and thought he was doing at least 200...

That would appear to be a cop, behind a bike, in an otherwise empty BCF lot.

So the guy they name on that forum has this as one of his FB photos, from April 7th:
That would appear to be a cop, behind a bike, in an otherwise empty BCF lot.
He must have his photos set to "friends only" or "friends of friends" because I can't see anything and none of my friends seem to be friends with him.
Probably a good thing.

He must have hit his head on the pavement.......and lost his presence of mind.
Those two gold front shocks look similar. Uploaded to youtube in 2010.
