I have slowed the clip down so that you can see the view of the city better.
The plane is a Waco YKS-6 CF-AZN It first flew June 27th 1936 and was broken up for spare parts on April 22nd 1941. It was operated by Ginger Coote Airways. The new price of the plane was $4,995

I love that old footage.
The area where Richardson is in Fairfield is still farmland.
It appears there are two radio towers on Gonzales Hill.
Log booms in Cadboro Bay.
The mill near the Selkirk Trestle is in full operation, and there is a steam locomotive on the trestle.
