I'll add this here for anyone who hasn't seen it on the Roundhouse thread.

IMHO "Yello" isn't nearly yellow enough.

Woah! What is that tower we can see in the window's reflection?

I am not sure. I'd have to go back to the source of the image.

Edit: Photo was taken in London (UK). I believe it is the BT Tower* reflected in the glass.

Thanks for finding that, NParker.

All Victoria apartment buildings look the same. Which one is 860 View and which one is Chard's building? I can't even tell them apart.

Those boxes look cool from the outside but as we walked by last night, my partner mused that they must really limit the amount of light coming in through the windows. Will be curious to see if there is such an effect.

I wonder if they present a cleaning/maintenance issue... maybe a spry window-cleaner can actually use them to advantage.

I like the boxes as they break up what would otherwise be a plain flat surface. But as already alluded I wonder about the shadows they will create.

Most of the boxes have a patio incorporated it looks like. For the couple regular windows that open out on top of a box, that would be a great place to store a case of beer in the winter. That's how we did it in the UBC Okanagan university residences!

I was wondering if they were patios, since they just appear to be open boxes with no railings or any sort of barrier. Wasn't sure if that was allowed.

Aluminum and glass railings it looks like, they'll go in near the end

But not on all the boxes; some shallower boxes surround windows.

In this neighbourhood? Any valuables left out like that would surely be gone in no time.*

*the reason this comment is so hilarious is because those ledges would actually be difficult/dangerous to access from the ground

They have drones that can access those balconies to remove stray cats, deck furniture and your barbeque complete with the evening meal.

I agree, but they are getting pretty close. They are close to putting the new sidewalk in out front and the units seem to be kitted out with lighting. The exterior cladding sure is taking a while.

I think this building looks a loooot better in person than the renderings.
