The 21-year-old man who was reported missing to the Campbell River RCMP on Dec. 20 has been found dead.  Tanner Closs-Gillis was found deceased on Dec. 28, according to an RCMP media release. Police say they do not suspect criminality, and the investigation has been turned over to the BC Coroners Service.

Help VicPD Find Missing Teen Blake

Victoria, B.C. – The Victoria Police Department is asking for the public’s help in their search for Blake, a youth who has been missing since January 26, 2026.

Blake is known to frequent some of Greater Victoria’s larger shopping centers and the Esquimalt and West Shore areas. He was last seen at his home in the Vic West neighbourhood.

Blake is 5’1” tall, roughly 120 lbs, and has brown hair and eyes. He’s also described as Caucasian.  

Anyone with information on Blake’s whereabouts is asked to contact the E-Comm non-emergency line at 250-995-7654, extension 1, and reference file number 26-4040.

“A review of onboard video showed a person matching the missing individual’s description entering the water while the vessel was underway,” police said in a statement.

‘It’s a very big area’: Search for missing 70-year-old man expands to woods of Port Alberni

The search for a missing 70-year-old man is underway in Port Alberni, as RCMP say he was last seen in the Cameron Heights area on Weds.

 

According to Port Alberni RCMP, family last saw William Donovan at 8 a.m. on Weds Feb. 25, in the 2100-block of Rita Rd, in the Cameron Heights area, as he left to walk his dog. His dog returned, but Donovan did not, and was reported missing.

The North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are continuing efforts to locate Rosemarie Harry, who was reported missing on February 4, 2026. She was last seen on January 28, 2026.

Since the time Rosemarie HARRY was reported missing, police have undertaken extensive investigative steps in an effort to locate her. Numerous interviews have been conducted, and officers have canvassed for CCTV footage at businesses and residences throughout the Duncan area. Additional investigative measures have also been completed under the BC Missing Persons Act.

Investigators continue to search identified areas of interest as part of the ongoing investigation. On February 13, 2026, local Search and Rescue teams, including Swift Water Rescue, conducted an extensive search. RCMP Air Services has also been engaged.

The investigation is being led by the General Investigation Section, with assistance from Indigenous Police Services, Investigative Support Services, and Front‑Line Officers.

Police continue to actively follow up on information and leads related to this investigation. Anyone who has information about the whereabouts of Rosemarie Harry is asked to contact the North Cowichan / Duncan RCMP at 250-748-5522.

Tofino RCMP are seeking the public's assistance to locate 40-year-old Dustin Bauming.

On March 6, 2026, Dustin Bauming was reported missing by his family. Bauming attended the CIBC Bank in Tofino on Monday March 2, 2026 and was observed by a witness on the Toquin Trail near the community centre later that day. Bauming was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

 

Bauming is described as follows:

Caucasian
6'2, 290 lbs
Blue eyes
Brown/grey hair
Clean shaven

Family ‘devastated’ after not hearing from Nanaimo man

A family is asking the public to keep an eye out for a man who was last seen in Nanaimo and say they’re “devastated” that he has gone missing.

Joey Dosanjh was last seen in Nanaimo on Feb. 28. Described as 6'0", black hair & a skin fade haircut, w/an arm sleeve & leg sleeve tattoos. Last seen in a white 2015 Subaru Outback, plate A15 2LK.

RCMP confirm that Dosanjh has been reported as a missing person.

The search for a Port Alberni man missing since Feb. 25 has ended, and it wasn’t the outcome his family was hoping for. One of William (Kim) Donovan’s family members confirmed on a social media site that the 70-year-old man’s body was found sometime after he went missing. No details were shared about where he was located.

The Outer Gulf Islands RCMP is asking for the public's help in locating missing 36-year-old man Reilly Lovering.

Reilly Lovering has been reported missing after failing to return home to Pender Island on March 28, 2026. Lovering is believed to have travelled to Victoria a day earlier and does not have his essential medication with him.

Police have followed up on several leads to try to locate him but have so far been unsuccessful. Both the police and his family are concerned for his wellbeing.

Lovering is described as:

Caucasian Male
36 years old
6 foot 1 inches tall
Medium build
Brown beard
Wears a grey toque every day
Last seen wearing blue jeans, black and grey fleece jacket and blue runners.
