I suppose a larger vehicle should handle the bumps better

Do you know someone who loves or hates the bike lanes? I made this for myself but it's too good not to share.

The diagram above is ridiculous. It suggests that by 2030 there will still be vehicle roads (presumably the black lines with street names), and we know that certainly can't be the CoV's plan.

Nothing like a midnight ride on the breakwater, can in the daytime but need a bell.

Someone is saying that apparently someone is spreading broken glass on a couple of the bike routes. Wonder if that is going to end up being a thing?

Cant say I am totally surprised.

I think our mayor and council has sown so much discord in Victoria over just about everything, I'm not surprised either. Very very divisive bunch.

And using a phrase like Richardson “bike lanes” to accomplish general traffic redirection/“calming”/Oak Bay snub, is not helping

Definition of a bike lane/routes does seem to vary:

Here comes the future - from the BC gov "CleanBC Roadmap to 2030" plan:

Can we get milk back on shelves before worrying about 2030?

Thats what I was looking for. No where does it specify you have to replace a car. It's also not elligible for commercial purposes. I'm going to look into getting my wife one now; 1600 bucks back is half the cost of a decent ebike.

I think it’s foolish to spend more than $2250 on an ebike. Plenty of good bikes for that price or less. wouldn’t want to worry about something more expensive than that? Most local suppliers only seem to carry the expensive ones?

I’ve always assumed you were a rich person.

These things are always centered around screwing the little guy.

Where are the nuclear powered cargo ships?  Where are the nuclear power stations for land based generation? Where are the incentives for importers of household goods to use carbon neutral manufacturing oversees?

During my walk this evening I noticed that in the last day or two signs have gone up restricting traffic on St. Charles from turning Eastbound on Richardson.  The single yellow line has been scraped up indicating it's no longer a two-way road.
