Too bad he no longer has his gear anymore and only hangs around Cormorant St now. :(

I hope that I have figured out how to post photos from Flickr

Here is the way the totem pole looks today(actually yesterday). It looks like there is repair work underway. They have painted over the pupils in the person's eyes (maybe so that he can't see what is about to happen) and he clearly needs a nose job. I like how menacing the wolf looks when he's in a cage! He looks really MAD!![/url]

Thanks, but this was the original "shrouded" version. I have an updated pic that I will post thanks to help from Holden. Just give me a few hours - I have a lunch date to go to first!

Balmoral St. Just your typical llama going to church photo.

I notice the llama is wearing purple ... do you think it might be a cardinal and therefore be conducting the service? I'd cough up a few bucks to hear that sermon and I'm sure a few others would too ... they'd really alpaca them in! :P

Ha ha! But you are incorrect. It is actually the Dalai Llama.

I put this in the "peculiar" category. You probably heard of the recent rash of car fires reported in the Times Colonist. At least one of the fires was blamed on electrical problems. This one happened in the Burnside/Marigold part of Saanich. Last night at 11 pm I saw a flash and heard a "whoomp". I called 911 and reported this car fire. A fellow in a white jacket said he was trying to start the car and heard a sizzle before it burst into flames. He reported smelling gasoline.

Sorry, this is the worst quality cell phone pic and it's not worthy of this thread but it's all I have. You can't even see the late model sedan that was totalled.

The police took statements from everybody but it remains to be seen if there's anything behind this or just a series of coincidences.

PS: I hope this encourages others to restart this thread!

So when the captain gives the order to "dive", I guess they roll it into the water?

How could anyone be offended by that? It's not like you took a picture of a sex shop. That store is all about love. :D

I was referring to the hot, lather, shave sign next to the sex shop. The pic is supposed to be implying that they are the same establishment.

Forget it.
