The company is developing brain chip interfaces that it says could enable disabled patients to move and communicate again, with Musk adding on Wednesday that it will also target restoring vision.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and Austin, Texas, Neuralink has in recent years been conducting tests on animals as it seeks approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to begin clinical trials in people.
"We want to be extremely careful and certain that it will work well before putting a device into a human," Musk said during a much-awaited public update on the device.

Musk went to Apple Park in Cupertino and met with Cook.Sounds like Musk and Cook have settled their differences. Apple says they never planned to remove Twitter from the App Store.
But Musk didn’t just dream that up. He obviously heard it from someone in the org.
It’s all good.

Sounds like a great thing until they become mandatory for everyone(Reuters) - Elon Musk said on Wednesday he expects a wireless brain chip developed by his company Neuralink to begin human clinical trials in six months, after the company missed earlier timelines set by him.

No need for a chip. The mechanism of programming the masses is already long in place. It's part of our makeup. We are programed by the word, the narrative. The talking head behind the podium existed long before any device. This would just be a more efficient version. His entire proposal is we are already cyborgs because we have a super computer in our pocket. That AI is going to be deadly to humanity. Far more intelligent than human intelligence. So in order to survive we need to join them... Fear based marketing...
