Hey Everyone,

I just thought I would share a pet project that I'm working on for a while. It allows transit users to quickly find nearby bus stops, and get the times of upcoming buses.

The service is optimized for smartphones. It allows the user to bookmark their favourite stops to quickly and easily retrieve them later.

The schedule automatically updates based on if its a weekday, Saturday, Sunday or a holiday.

Give it a try, and let me know what you think. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. It's available at http://www.bustimes.ca.

Didn't they just upgrade their 1950's-era peg-board?

I couldn't tell you. I've been trying to talk to them about it, but they won't even give me the time of day.

Wow, that's unbelieveable. I thought you were joking!

The odd thing is that their HandiDart buses have had GPS tracking for years.

Nice work, jmacfan!

For anyone else looking for bus times, if your device is running iOS, you may want to check out The Transit App. It's a native app that is similar to jmacfan's web app but uses a bit of a different interface.

Huh. So, Black Press demands you have a Facebook account to comment. How... exclusionary.

Can anyone think of other places I should let people know about my app?
