Of course, and they are sometimes even true. Nothing beats the reviews of our neighbour, however....

Matt.

yes your neighbours reviews are something if your neighbour is that bakery/book place in fulford.

I know. It's a perverse compulsion. Like the Soup Nazi challenge. Can you do it without being kicked out?

that’s what it looks like. too easy to get thrown out by taking a photo.

don’t use your camera phone and still get thrown out you’re doing well.

We’re going to wait a bit before booking flights. Sweet spot appears to be about 3 months out.
Any thoughts on the Disney parks in Tokyo? :)
Matt.

Chickened out and booked flights today. Japan Airlines, direct yvr -> hnd.

Now for rail passes and Disney passes.

This will be a great opportunity for your kids to see a society that reveres deference and politeness. I'm sure that will be an experience they won't forget.

Don't be so sure.

Heh...unless they happen to stray into the Kabukicho district in Shinjuku, in which case all bets are off.......

Currently in China, hiding behind the great firewall of China.

No Google anything. No Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Wikipedia.

Chongqing has about 36 million people, close to the entire population of Canada, but most Canadians have never heard of it.

The city is an unending repetition of clusters of 8-10 fortyish story apartment buildings. Pam would weep

VV still works so clearly the Chinese government has work to do.

Did nobody tell you to install a VPN before you went?

Works great, I used Express VPN.

I thought about a VPN but decided a few days without most internet was good for the soul. The hosts of the venue we're at in a day or so will have a VPN for guests.

Starbucks is often a good bet, but most free places in China will only text a code to a China phone subscriber.

The oddness is random. CBC is blocked but NPR isn't.
