This year's Twestival event will be held on September 24th.

Twestival Victoria 2013

Tuesday September 24th from 7-10 pm, join the local Victoria BC #yyj social media community for Twestival Victoria 2013, an evening of mixing, mingling, music and fun as we fundraise for The Cridge Centre for the Family.

Our generous hosts The Bengal Lounge at the Fairmont Empress Hotel have provided the venue, musicians are lined up to entertain you, and there will be opportunities to bid on fabulous silent auction items donated by local businesses and individuals.

Tickets are $25 and $40 (with “twag” bag) and all proceeds go directly to the sponsored charity. Every ticket includes a chance to win amazing door prizes.

Funds raised by Twestival Victoria 2013 will be used to purchase a new (used) van for The Cridge Centre for the Family’s Transition House. The Cridge Centre celebrates 140 years of serving the community in 2013, and is the oldest charity in Western Canada. Twestival Victoria is part of the global fundraising movement, Twestival (or Twitter-Festival) - a movement that has seen over $1.75m raised for 285 charities around the world since 2009.

Since the original Twestival Victoria in September 2009, we have raised over $20,000 for local (Power to Be, Victoria Cool Aid) and international (Concern Worldwide) charities. Victoria has always been a top Twestival city. In 2011 we placed 8th in fundraising per capita and were 17th worldwide in total donations. Our goal in 2013 is $10,000 towards the purchase of a van. Your #yyjtwestival team is excited to see the possibilities.

Even if you are not able to attend, you can make a donation on the "tickets" page. Every dollar raised through ticket sales goes directly to The Cridge Centre for the Family.
