Blind corners at intersections

This intersection at Blenkinsop and McKenzie Ave is the same.
The trees hang out over the property line and block the view of drivers wanting to turn right onto Mckenzie.

The problem is that damn green fencing blinds oncoming traffic to any pedestrians crossing the offramp until the blue lamppost in the photo. This is an accident waiting to happen as cars accelerate up the the dedicated offramp lane from about Harbour Rd and frequently like to zoom around the corner.
We usually walk way past the crosswalk to the blue lamppost to see if the coast is clear before attempting to cross to the island (from the lamppost) - it's just safer.

Here is another one. At Tyee Rd. and Esquimalt Rd. We usually walk way past the crosswalk to the blue lamppost to see if the coast is clear before attempting to cross to the island (from the lamppost) - it's just safer.
Yes, they need to put the pedestrian crosswalk symbol on that blue post, as well as repaint the crosswalk if it hasn't yet been done.
I think more could be done to keep this sort of road infrastructure up to standards.

Better late than never...
In the picture above (post #2), attempting to cross to the island was dangerous as the fence blocked the line of site for cars zooming up the hill and onto Tyee Rd. If this was done to make this a safer crosswalk then kudos!
