Does the part of Saanich Rd at Douglas need to be straightened out? I'm just thinking it's kind of awkward to turn left onto Douglas southbound, when you're sitting in the middle of the intersection it's hard not to point right at the oncoming traffic.

There is enough land south of Uptown to create a better right turn lane from Saanich Road onto Douglas. That might remove the awkward, and free up more space for a left turn onto Douglas.
